AP Photo Emphasis Assignment #3: Create a Book Cover Illustration and Concentration 1-4 due Thursday, 3-3-16.

2/27/2016

PictureThe Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark

(100 points) Think of a book you have read.  Create a cover for the book that emphasizes something important that happens in the story.  Make sure all of your choices reflect the story.  In my example below, the somber black and gray colors relect the dark nature of the story of Hamlet, and the floating figure (Ophelia) represents the many characters who die in this play.

You may create your book cover by drawing in Photoshop, or you may use one or more of your own photos as part of your design.  The artwork must be your own, and you must include the title of the book and the name of the author.  [File>new>9” high, 6” wide>300 resolution/72 for uploading; save as a tiff while you are working, and upload the 72 as a jpeg].

Finally, write a short summary of the book that would go on the back cover.  For my book it would be : Prince
Hamlet is depressed. Having been summoned home to Denmark from school in Germany to attend his father's funeral, he is shocked to find his mother Gertrude already remarried. The Queen has wed Hamlet's Uncle Claudius, the dead king's brother. To Hamlet, the marriage is "foul incest."
Submit cover and summary to your One Drive.  Thank you!
